HULA Board Members

President: Rachel Lindsey

The President shall have active executive management of the operations of HULA, subject however, to the control of the Board of Directors. The President shall: 1. Be the administrative officer; 2. Preside at all meetings of members and Directors; 3. Pursue the business of HULA; and 4. Perform any other duties as the Bylaws or Board of Directors may prescribe.

Vice President: Michael Albanese

The Vice President shall: 1. Assist the President in the business of HULA; 2. Perform all duties incumbent upon the President during the absence or disability of the President; 3. Chair the Nominating Committee; 4. Perform any duties as prescribed by the Bylaws or the Board of Directors. 5. Assist the seasonal commissioner at securing fields for the league; and 6. Assist the Kaimana Klassik Tournament Director and Hopu Ka Lewa Tournament Director at securing fields for the Kaimana Klassik and Hopu Ka Lewa. The Vice President shall call and preside over all Hall of Fame Meetings but shall not have a vote unless the designated Vice President has previously been inducted into the Hall of Fame and is a member of the Hall of Fame in good standing.

Treasurer: Michelle Swan

The Treasurer shall: 1. Keep correct and complete records of account, showing accurately at all times the financial condition of HULA: 2. Be the legal custodian of all moneys, notes, securities and other valuables that may from time to time come into possession of HULA. 3. Immediately deposit all funds of HULA into a reliable bank or other depositary to be designated by the Board of Directors and shall keep this bank account in the name of HULA. 4. A statement of financial condition of HULA; Furnish at meetings of the Board of Directors, or whenever requested, a statement of financial condition of HULA. 5. Be an authorized signatory on the HULA checking account. 6. Perform other duties as the Bylaws or Board of Directors may prescribe. 7. Assist the seasonal commissioner in the collection of league dues. 8. Be the custodian of the records, including the membership lists and the current voting memberships list.

Secretary: Courtney Gill

The secretary shall: 1. Attend all meetings of the members, the Board of Directors and if the designated committees and shall keep, or cause to be kept in a book provided for that purpose, a true and complete record of the proceedings of these meetings; 2. Attend to the giving of all notices; and 3. Perform other duties as the Bylaws or the Board of Directors may prescribe.

The Board shall establish a League Liaison from amongst the Directors. The League Liaison shall be confirmed by a majority of the Board of Directors. The League Liaison shall: 1. Ensure selection of subsequent league season commissioner is successful; 2. Advise league commissioners and shall ensure open communication with the Board of Directors; and 3. If selection of league commissioner pursuant to 6.09 is unsuccessful, the League Liaison will strategically recruit volunteer(s) to serve as commissioner with ample time to secure fields and plan the upcoming league season.

Small Events Coordinator: Nadine Wolf

The Board shall establish a Small Events Volunteer Coordinator from amongst the directors. The Small Events Volunteer Coordinator shall be confirmed by a majority of the Board of Directors. The Small Events Volunteer Coordinator shall: 1. Set a calendar of possible events for the year (e.g. Loco Moco, Tweetle Beetle Beach Battle, Goaltimate Tournaments, Bok Choy Hat Draw, Disc Overalls, Wahine Weekend, Fall Classic, Savage Sevens, High School Tournaments, etc.); 2. Strategically recruit individuals who commit to organize, advertise, facilitate, and run a successful small event; 3. Advise volunteer organizers and provide field options and contact information for permits as needed.
